Grovertown is a small unincorporated community located in southeastern Oregon Township in Starke County, Indiana, United States. It is situated along U.S. Route 30, about 12 miles southeast of the county seat of Knox.
Grovertown was named after a prominent pioneer family, the Grovers, who settled in the area in the mid-1800s. Today, the community has a population of approximately 1,000 residents.
Grovertown is home to several businesses, including gas stations, restaurants, and a general store. The area is also known for its large Amish community, with many Amish-owned farms and businesses in the surrounding countryside.
Recreational opportunities in Grovertown and the surrounding area include fishing and boating in nearby Bass Lake, hiking and camping in the nearby Hoosier National Forest, and visiting local historical sites such as the Starke County Historical Society Museum.
